Instructions after the tongue tie procedure at home:
- Give Pain relief (Oral and Local) medications as needed
- Oral – (Adol, Tylenol or Panadol): every 6-8 hours as needed for pain.
- Apply a non- numbing teething gel like Gengigel or Dentinox under the tongue as needed for pain.
- Do Stretching Exercises.
Stretching and Massaging Exercises:
Doing the exercises as instructed allows for proper healing by reducing the risk of reattachment and therefore the need for repeat surgery. These exercises must be done at least 5 times a day for 3 weeks.
